You've been given an afternoon to slow right down. The Wild Sky Dome is a guided meditation under the daytime sky at Wild Hideaways, in the Mealagh Valley in West Cork. Wild Hideaways is a DarkSky Approved Lodging, the first in Europe, a place that has held onto its skies, day and night alike.
You settle into the dome with beanbags and blankets, and a 40-minute guided meditation moves with the West Cork clouds as they cross the valley overhead. The dome is yours for the full ninety minutes, so there's nothing to do but lie back and watch the weather pass. Your experience also includes a walk to the Kealkill stone circle nearby, raised in the Bronze Age by people who lived by this same sky.
It's an unhurried afternoon. Nothing to do but look up.
